Step #1 Become Familiar with the Device
Technology moves swiftly, and there’s no shame in not being knowledgeable about every device. Yes, your students may be more comfortable with an iPad than you are. However, here’s a handy cheat sheet on operating the device. And remember, even if the kids are more familiar with the devices than you are, you still can create the bigger picture of new ways to use the devices for learning. Step #2 Leave Only the Apps You Need Unfortunately our iPads are loaded with way more apps then our students need. Make a list of the apps you plan to use with students (does not need to be more then 10). Remove the rest. If your students are old enough to help out, make it a class task. If you need help fill out the Form on the contact page for help. Step #3 Lock Down Your iPad As soon as the apps you don't want are deleted set restrictions. See images below |
