Elementary Technology Lessons
The links below will take you to elementary resources useful for teaching students technology skills. Possessing these skills will be useful for students in navigating the world of technology, and preparing for Computer Adaptive Testing. Each SBAC Tech Skills lesson should be 20 minutes in length. You can check the student's understanding and mastery of this skill by asking the three guiding questions provided in each lesson. The following activities target these technology skills, and whenever possible align with the ELA and/or Math CCSS.
Teach Coding in K-12th Grades
Teaching "computational thinking" can help students learn about logic, troubleshooting, procedural approaches to problems and other ways of thinking. Students will also gain experience with drag and drop, navigating, and problem solving. Here are some links to free web-based coding programs.
